Welcome to Aloha Cut + Cloth!
Aloha Cut + Cloth is a manufacturing company that specializes in cut and sewn soft goods in small batches for micro and small businesses. Aloha Cut + Cloth was created when founders experienced challenges with locating local manufacturers in Hawai’i to produce their own clothing lines. While researching manufacturing facilities, they learned that many manufacturers required high production minimums, which are often unreasonable for those entering the fashion industry in Hawai’i.
At Aloha Cut + Cloth, we recognize the importance of creating ethically made products in Hawai’i. We also know the importance of sustainability practices in manufacturing. We strive to make the manufacturing process easy and efficient for our clients, and keep waste to a minimum. Because of our location, our local clients can feel closer to their product and take advantage of convenient pick-up in Honolulu.
Aloha Cut + Cloth also has a non-profit foundation that partners with community organizations to create new job opportunities and vocational training programs. We believe our efforts will help to reinvigorate the slowing sewing industry in Hawai’i, and increase the production of goods on the islands.
Shelly
Shelly has a background in corporate business and a strong interest in fashion. After spending many years in the corporate environment, she felt compelled to explore creative endeavors in entrepreneurship. Her natural curiosity of how things are made, paired with her interest in fashion, drew her to clothing manufacturing. This led her to learn more about the limited resources in Hawai’i and opportunities to provide jobs to the local community. Shelly also creates social media content for her lifestyle brand, Simple Casual Chic.
Camille
Camille has over 15 years of experience in retail on the islands. She worked for luxury retailers in management until leaving in 2016 to open her own boutique business, Valia Honolulu. She stumbled upon the idea of starting a manufacturing business when trying to design her own clothing line. In her search for a local manufacturer, she realized a gap in our local market for a manufacturer who can service micro and small businesses.
